At least with Rotherham drawing Franchise are going to be trying to win down in Devon, & get automatic promotion
Still all to play for it was looking good but went down hill but we know what we have to do WIN and hope we have been there before lets just do it
It's all quite simple now isn't it. You need to win. We need to equal or better your result. Whoever gets that right gets to the play offs regardless of what others do. And yes I know both of us could qualify as well in the permutations. I will be wearing my anal nerve elastic band on Saturday as a safety measure. It may still not work though.
If Fleetwood could have hung on, they would have been safe from relegation and we would both be saying "If we win on Saturday we are both in the play-offs" Shame that Morecambe are safe unless both Gilingham (home to Rotherham) and Fleetwood (away at Bolton) win. And Morecambe are at home to Sunderland. So that looks like a 3 pointer for Sunderland Rotherham need to beat Gills to ensure auto promotion. If that is looking highly likely during the game it will make no difference to MK Dons whether they win, lose or draw; they will be 3rd. So I can see 3 key players coming off and saved for the play-offs, which could gift Plymouth with a play-off place at our expense Sheff W (home to Portsmouth) only need 1 point for a play off place unless we can win by 2 clear goals, a win for Sheff W and they are in the play-offs All in all, it looks as though we will just miss out if we beat Burton. It is no longer in our hands, as it was for 38 mins tonight
Not nerve racking for me happy with our season and would like us to win our last game nerve racking was the week of 26th April to 3rd May 2014
At least Pompey are on a high at the moment in the last five W4 D1 & came back from two down last night to win 3-2 against Wigan
Not nerve racking? What are you made of Guy? It was nerve racking just watching MK Dons against Sheff W on TV the other night, hoping MK would get the equaliser in stoppage time
The one thing to look at with the teams in the play-offs everybody has something to play for. We have Sheff Wed v Pompey, Pompey have won 4 of the last 5 games & have scored 3 against Wigan & Rotherham. Plymouth v MK Dons MK will be looking to gain automatic promotion (how often does the side that finishes 3rd go up), also with Rotherham away at Gillingham who have to win to stand any chance of staying up. Morecambe v Sunderland, Morecambe have already won at home v Sheff Wed, Wycombe & Oxford & drawn with Plymouth. It could go anyway.
Burton haven't conceded in their last 5 games, and that includes a 2-0 win over Rotherham and draws against Wigan and Plymouth
I know that's why it's not going to be easy for any team playing Saturday, I don't think any of the four teams going into the last game is what you would an easier game
