League Cup

An example of terrible goalkeeping.

All these sides played very strong sides too. No youth/reserve teams as they didn't want lose or look ****.

Whoops.

Lol I love the way your trying to peddle this idea that everyone played there first teams to somehow make yourself feel better about getting humiliated by MK Dons 4-0.

For Arsenal, if everyone is fit then only Sanchez from our team yesterday is in our first team. Wilshere has had some decent game time so far this season so you can maybe throw him in there, but he doesn't play when everyone is injury free. And we used Cazorla as a sub, again when everyone is fit he probably doesn't start for us, but he is usually in or around the first team.

Other than that it was a mixture of reserves and youth. We played a back line where the only player over 19 years old was a 23 year old midfielder playing at LB. We gave our backup keeper his debut. Diaby made his long awaited return to football after a long long time out recuperating and rosicky and podolski got there first starts to the season.

The game saw us make ten changes from our team at the weekend.

Just because we have better depth than utd and are able to play a reserve/youth team that actually has some good players in it, doesn't somehow make it our first team.

Your getting beyond ridiculous but I think your one of the utd fans struggling most with the current and recent failure.

This.

His delusion over all things United is Scouse-like. Is he an LFC WUM.

His total meltdown dating from players rejecting United last summer is painful reading

Yeh more pathetic and hilarious excuses.

10 players eh? Sure thing. At least 8 first team squad players.

And struggling with what? Being 4 points off top 4 with 5 games gone? Yeh terrible. Its not like the entire league can change with a game.

I mean our struggles pale in comparison to arsenals decade long struggle. A long decade of failure on top of failure. A desperate period of nothing, going nowhere, winning nothing.

Thats failure. The very definition of the word. One bad season in 25 isn't failure. Do you understand how simple that is?

I'd move along london before you embarrass yourself further. Ive told you and your pal hiag that your wums simply dont work with united fans. We have all the answers.

Afcftw. If our reserves losing 4-0 is humiliating then you must rate the league cup highly.

That would indicate that your loss yesterday hurt. Because you clearly value the small trophies. Fans of clubs who have won the title this decade are not bothered. The wigans, birminghams and arsenals of the world are though.

#smalltime

What a night in the league cup, arsenal out, Everton out, Liverpool almost surprised by boro but go through after 27 penalties get taken....

Thirty-one penalties were taken; they had one in extra time and we took fifteen in each in the shoot out <doh>

I had just quickly checked the article and seen the final score as 14-13 on penalties, didn't realise there had been 3 missed penalties in the shoot out! Though I should of assumed one as otherwise it makes no sense! I wasn't including the penalty during the game.

I suppose I should of said 27 scored penalties!

Your two replies both suggest your wound up and struggling to deal with utd's recent fall from grace. You would of been better off not replying :p

Pretty much #pedantic :)

I came very close yesterday to dismissing the League Cup as an insignificant cup but in the end, I decided it is still the biggest cup competition in the world... for now...

'Boro are also the English Barcelona- any team would be happy to beat them!

LOL. Very true that.

We did a superb job in the transfer window this summer: we are actually a well-run club at the moment <ok>

Thanks to the brilliance of Jose in the market we can live off our admittedly very strong revenue, which has been around top seven in Europe since97/8 season.. Now we are finally using it well. Well done Roman, Gourlay and Emenaldo, finally. More or less self-sufficient as promised, certainly as much as could be expected, by 2012.
