The issue here is there is nothing bar say move chiesa to 10 to repalce nyoni. The lad its so far off this

You'll see these lads who have not arsed themselves suddenly start running for the next 5 to stay on

Ha, we appear to have an invisible forcefield protecting our goal.

    Oh, Isak 1-0.

    Great work by Chiesa

    Dreadful

    Gomez again.

Seriously you don't paly it to an 18 year old with 2 on his back.

Carry it upland draw tje press and pass to space.

    Absolutely rubbish

Then isak taps in the other end as southampton lose their heads.

Well…. Mental 2 minutes. Should be 1-0 down from those 2 chances… then up the other end and keeper gifts the opener.

Nice that Isak is off the mark. Gets rid of that ‘when will he score’ monkey

What's made thst is the one man who's been arsed today

He's been running all half to prove a point.

    Well done federico chiesa.

Thought their chsnce looked offside, be interesting to see a replay of it.

Ref then pulls it back after Endo breaks free… not very good refereeing therr

It was gomez making a stupid stupid lazy pass into a child who isn't at the races with two.men pressing.

Pass into gomez again wasnt needed, more abdicate responsibility stuff.

Either are willing carry the ball up towards the press and force anything to pull out of shape. They then toss it to endo or nyoni who are right in the middle of an extremely tight 4.

Theres bags of space wide if the full backs would demand it.

Chiesa has ran all half and out a lot of them to shame here. He's proved his point here. Not even in the squad for everton and turnes to here and just goes to it.

    Well done thet man.

As expected with such a mismatch team and few players clearly lacking bit of sharpness.

This slot system works by having top level midfielders to receive the ball in spaces and 1-2 touches move it quickly through the middle. Can really see it when the midfield level drops.

Defence has been alright. Dealt with everything come their way with only couple chances. Leoni has looked really solid. Great turn of pace to win couple of balls behind.

Frimpong expect more going forward. For someone renown for his attacking ability he’s looked very reserved.

Chiesa motm so far, been positive, dropped into spaces which have been hard to find with a 5-4-1 formation but got it and been able to make saints midfield turn and be wrong side of the ball.

Rio looks dangerous but they’ve doubled up on him constantly and Robertson has just sat back offering no real help other than ball back. Not sure why he isn’t overlapping at any point and either dragging defender away or providing a pass down the line for a cross. Can only assume he’s been told to sit and protect the 2 cb’s
