Well you lot were interested in him a couple of seasons back if I remember correctly. Country would be in meltdown.
maybe Wenger was too, he's always "nearly signed them when they were young". I thought under Rafa we tried to get him, can't remember, he was wilder back then too, Costa has actually calmed down by his own standards. South American football is a different beast though, they kick the ****e out of each other
He seemingly missed the Costa incident(s) so if he now feels it's a red card then fair enough. However it does irk that the very same ref didn't have the stones to give a fairly blatant pen and a defo 2nd yellow to Lucas during the heat of the actual game. Now it ultimately made for a better game for the neutral but I think he bottled the Lucas yellow in particular. He gave yellows for a lot less in the same game. I don't think there is a campaign against Chelsea so to speak, but if a Sheffield United player had stepped on a Spurs player last night would it have been this big media frenzy, back page news etc? Would it ****. The massive downside to being a 'big' club. But yeah, he does need to calm himself down a bit now. I love the battling side of him and the will to win but there is a line and he dances very close to it and inevitably he will go over, or be judged to have gone over it and be punished.
Seems to me you are looking for good reffing and consistency. you'll have more luck looking for a unicorn As for the media, Chelsea are big news, Sheffield UTD are not, when the diving fiasco appeared the very first post I made on here was exactly that "no one would give a **** if a Sheffield UTD player dived"
Henderson not only should have been sent off because he looks like a mong but they should also slap his mother.
Costa knew 100% the ball was out of play, he was trying to pick the ****ing thing up then it gets kicked away, what other reason does he have to sprint after the ball other then to stamp on the players leg???? 3 game ban will 100% stand, not mentioning the unnatural sprint to get the ball where he left his leg behind him... Just accept he knew 100% what he was doing
I think he could have stopped both as opposed to deliberately do both. Either way, he was in the wrong. Pity about the timing. Costa needs a severe talking to, he too often puts the team in a position likely to be a man down. You can be a tough aggressive player and NOT cross the line.
To be fair to Diego - he held his own very well until the Semi final. Perhaps, he was trying little too hard to show he can contribute in cup matches too.
If Gerrard had to go for that, then Costa should have got 3 red cards Skrtel Can and she locked horns with Gerrard. Besides, he tried to stick it in Gerrard's backside, the dirty third world ****er
To think we lost the services of Costa for our most important game of the season and for what; in pursuit of some inane micro trophy which lost its prestige 20 years??? I shake my head.
