Same as the Alloa game. Celtic vastly superior but struggling to convert that dominance into goals. Only on this occasion Craig Thompson contributed to keeping the score down.
Warburton is actually giving interviews speaking about the gulf being small between the two teams and saying there were "chances at both ends" Sooner the *****loid hordes of huns accept they're one of the better mid-table teams in the SPFL, then the easier the inevitable defeats will be to handle. Ref has a howler today and their keeper had the game of his life. Take either of them out of the equation and it would have been a few more.
He also said during the week that the only gap between us was financial. I had rather hoped he would elaborate on what having better finances means.
After a hard game on Wed, that was a canter. Brill again from the manager making the right changes, at the right time, to take complete control and force a winner. Craig Thompson not even trying to be subtle anymore!
Would have been another score rout had it not been for their keeper ... and Mr Thompson. The 'gap' that Warburton can't see would make a funny ad for 'Specsavers'.
"Outplayed at times". Utterly delusional. There were periods in that game where they couldn't string three passes together, it was almost as if they were deliberately giving it back. I do think that if Holt had of slotted that chance then it could have been a different game, but that was the only moment in the entire 90 minutes where I was worried. I can't think of any other part of the match where I was concerned. It got to the stage where it wasn't if we would score, but when and how many. The hun problem is accepting their current place in Scottish football which is as a mid-table SPFL team. I do think the acid test will be Hogmanay at The Home of The Hun though. That's when we will really get an idea of the gulf.
It was the most one sided game I've seen in a while ... probably more one sided than 5 1... gilks Up next us Rustie Bugmuncher for match against Ross county on Wednesday
