Only concerns are Origi, who looks ok at the end there...........and Can, don't see him starting v the Spuds but we'll see. Decent performance, good game to have after the weekends disappointment
Some of that will be lack of match fitness, Origi and Can both playing first full game of the season. Hopefully its just minor stuff that take a few days to get over. We'll see tomorrow.
In a position where we have loads of players! #10 I do think he has the quality to adapt to playing in CM, it'll just take a while I think.
Matip has a bit of Hansen about him. Very comfortable on the ball, probably needs a few more games before he is really up to speed with the PL.
He's a big unit. If hes to play rcb though.... well lovern at lcb was poor tonight. Dont really want to go back there.
Will be surprised if Sakho doesn't come straight back into LCB when fully fit. Matip starting as RCB is very telling.
Matip and a on form Sakho would be a very tasty CB pairing, especially with a decent DM in front of them too.
I'm hoping either: A) sending Sakho on loan is a warning to him to sort his attitude out or B) we sell him and bring in a quality CB.
Mane excellent, Matip good Lallana is not a CM. Milner is not a LB, Henderson is not a captain. Lovren makes errors still. Mignolet is a liability coming for crosses....still. Early days and much stiffer tests to come.
