Okay, I'll let you off. I can't deny I'm a Yorkie and I'm extremely proud of my city. I'm Leeds United through and through one thing I will always thank my dad for. Oh and my good looks
I'll hand it to you, York is a lovely place. Even the Hull fans agreed when I asked them what the best city in Yorkshire was, though many of them suspiciously voted for their own city, which isn't exactly recognized as idyllic.
The same Hull fans who blockaded themselves in the Lendal Cellars (town centre pub) and threw glasses and bottles at poor old passersby. Ever such a nice bunch! Hull's okay if you go armed!!!! and that's just shopping.
Pocklington, now there's a place. Always had some wonderful matches on Sunday mornings against Pock FC, their team always got changed in the club caravan!! Those were the days.
Wendys at home, big crowd and lots of extra TV cash as well!! Yes, I know I am looking at it from the money point, but we do need the cash, and hopefully Bates will not stick it under his mattress.
Ha ha ha - That would have been on West Green.... The manager was a fat guy who could not breath and always had his tongue out. I once played after a heavy night out and we just continued drinking... vodka orange at half time. Good times
Yep, that sounds like him. You're been polite when you say fat!! If I recall his wife was quite a big bird too???? They had a few good players but a lot of hackers, a lad called Iffy springs to mind. If they're still looking for the missing link they could check him out!! All good fun.
Yes i used to live on the same street as iffy - A true hacker who loved a scrap. Top draw - Its a small world when you come across someone who played against pocklingtons very own iffy on west green. +1000
I played for The Walnut Tree in York. Later to be Heworth FC. I certainly miss the sunday morning kick about.
