    Yes.

You just can't take 3 touches before maybe passing it back.

Brighton were pushing up but no big deal so you want that bit of urgency from your team mates to move to give you options.

If I was a gk I'd want the cbs to move themsevles and be turns to get the ball off me each side rather than have to dribble round a press.

If I'm the cb I don't want cms in front taking at least 2 touches then playing to me when I've already got a guy close.

You just want those passes to be crisp and first time because the option is on and you can move the opponent around.

No defender wants the ball played slow to them or behind them. It's just all about being in the right places and being sharp about what you do. You don't need to sprint to go it, just moving at a nice pace that's sustainable 5 or 10 yards here and there.

he wouldn't have come in his prime but yes for a Slot team he would have been a good player as long as he didn't do his no look passes to no one

    Graveyboat will do.

Macca is a bit slow so we won't see real coming in for him.

Good players, but not top top class.

It was a good window to get 3 decent ones in and then put in a manager after that suited them.

Gravenberch has a ridiculous move with the ball where he spins off and leaves the opponent facing the other way, wondering where he is and what's just happened. It's these kind of skills that make watching more enjoyable.

He was just an amazing player. Always two steps ahead which is why he needed players of similar class to get on the end of the no look pass.

err he had players of similar class but if he "passes" nowhere near the CB's there class level was immaterial

I just watched several youtube 'every touch' videos and apart from 2 passes to Alisson, he doesn't make a single back pass or pass to a CB at all. It was the forwards who needed to be in tune with him, not the defenders, and they were which is why I commented about having him in his prime as being that extra that would take us to the next level, style wise and possession wise. There weren't actually that many no look passes, similar to Bobby's no look goals but each one met it's destination. Like with every player, some passes went astray.

It was his ability to break the lines with his passing. All that sidewards or passed out wide into space is great but it’s all infront of players. You need people to break those lines and some do it dribbling, Gravenberch does that well blbut Thiago would do it with passes finding those players between the defence and midfield to get teams turned.

The every touch videos are specific to one game i.e. Thiago's every touch v man city.

It's weird that in answer to a call for Thiago in his prime, you've picked one thing that he rarely did as what, a reason not to dream of having him at his best?

Anyway, going old school - post some pictures/videos or it never happened :bandit:
