Right, I've been thinking it since pre-season, so I'm just going to come out with it and say it now. I genuinely think we are going to win a cup this season.
Reckon you will play a full strength team? _________________________________ No, but it will still be a strong line up with some talented youngsters.
No. Lambert won't play which will disappoint you lot I'm sure. It will probably be similar to who we played last night.
We're strong enough to do that. In a single game, we can beat anybody, i think we have proven that last season. With a good draw (so far so good), a few well played games and a bit of luck, we could definitely lift a trophy!
You know it's true, the tickets will be far too expensive to attract a decent crowd. It should be 5 quid entry for the cup games.
Team against Bristol City: Davis Chambers Fonte Yoshida Fox Ward-Prowse Cork Mayuka Davis Isgrove Rodriguez
I'm in Mallorca right now Fran!! It has been wall to wall sunshine until the other evening and two consecutive nights of thunderstorms. If I was staying, I meet up with you!! One Saint to another!!
Shame it isn't at Ashton Gate as that would be pretty close to me, plus we'd sell that out and it'll be a much better atmosphere than a half empty St Mary's. I guess this isn't exactly a game for the dare-I-say plastic fans, as in league one we had a great atmosphere with 10,000 empty seats, but it's not a cup final either. Can't lose this simply because the large amount of city fans in my area haven't let me forget the last times we played, and I can't imagine how it would be if they defeated us when we are 2 leagues above them. And I would love a cup run. Let's hope it's like when we eradicated the bogey of Swindon Town from our noses in the cup, blimey, we really don't like the west country, do we? Remember losing to Rovers in the 5th round of the FA cup a few years ago? Dreadful
Agree, they may do something for kids but can't see them charging less than £20 for adults. Think we'll get a lot more than 6k, probably between 15-20k but appreciate your point
We always enjoy a trip down to Southampton, and a quiet drink in the Ice House, is it still going? #Shirley
Is this draw kind of doctored as there is potentially only two ties where teams from the North face teams from the South? Uum!! I can see the sense as fans don't really want a long haul to Sunderland or Newcastle from the South Coast during the week.
It's a cracking tie, but as I've already stumped up £575 for a season ticket, I won't pay more than £15 quid. Maybe £18.
That fat **** lambert scored that ****ty deflected free kick. Lucky talentless **** I'm over that defeat now
I'm not. I was meant to have bragging rights over every west country team, that was the status quo. A few years ago, they all started to beat us, and suddenly I would receive an 'ah unlucky' in response to me proclaiming my support for southampton. I intend for those dark days to never return. More North-eastern teams in the next draw, please. Maybe even a few Scottish.
Everton charged £15 adults. Villa £10 adults (£12 in Holte End). Sunderland £10. I can't see Saints charging less than £20, because they think we are all oozing with money.
It is. I don't attend there but it once had a bit of a reputation, but I believe it actually is quiet these days.
Ashton Gate would have been good, as I can get there in about half an hour from my place. Still a good draw though, gives us a chance to exorcise another lot of demons. The rest of the draw will eliminate quite a bit of top-flight opposition, should we be fortunate enough to proceed to the 4th round.
