Not sure what I'm up to to be honest, I shall decide on the days in question, play it by ear so to speak, in a so to speak sort of manner.

Obviously I shall be watching and supporting the glorious England and Croatia naturally. Anyone that supports Belgium or the hygiene intolerant Nazi collaborating Frogs are ****s. That goes without saying.

Should finish my autobiography this weekend as well, with the help of my new Honduran girlfriend. Provisional title for my biopic is "Living With Us". Warts and all, essential reading.

Continuing the sort out of all the crap that I've been hoarding in the loft (no, not corpses of previous victims, they are buried beneath the big fake shed) and seeing how much I can get off Ebay for it all. The new guitar depends on what cash comes in. I might be in Made in Mexico Fender territory or even Made in USA Gibson territory depending on how well the sales go. Knowing my luck I'll just about scrape enough for one of these

There does appear to be a dearth of nignogs and other aberrations of humanity within the Croatian set up but perhaps, just perhaps, there are no darkie Sambo Croatians that are any good at sports apart from that inherent ability for the Javelin.

I'm just throwing that into the mix for discussion you understand.

Grove, you could get an American-made jazzmaster, tele or jag for much less than you think. Offset series are about the same price as MIMs - then it's a big jump to authentic Gibsons price-wise (unless it's an SG you're after).

If you can afford the Gibson (and get grovers fitted), I'd take that and it's an ES or something you're after, go for that (1.2 - 3 grand).

Anything other than a strat for Fender and you can get a Made in America for about a grand

Grove, you could get an American-made jazzmaster, tele or jag for much less than you think. Offset series are about the same price as MIMs - then it's a big jump to authentic Gibsons price-wise (unless it's an SG you're after).

I'm after a Gibson Traditional Les Paul as much for it being an investment as having fun trying to get a tune out of it. Not a fan of the current Standard models which look too much like PRS to me. Always liked the Burst LP models (cherry, tobacco, honey etc) and they tend to hold their value well. At around the £2K mark I'd have to get a lot for what I'm selling on Ebay to justify this, added to that I can just about play Wild Thing so I might wait a while longer.

The new Player Strats come in a wide variety of colours and pick up options which appeal more than the MIM range did. Not a big fan of the off-set models, at least not their looks and I already have a Tele. I'm selling my fake Strat (Vintage Icon) to make way for a "real" one. Once I get a bit better at playing the things I hope to enter the land of effects pedals and really start to piss my cash up the wall!

All Gibsons and Epi's suffer from the same problem - they don't stay in tune long enough - if you're getting an LP, invest in some Grovers

Owen Jones would get his panties in a bunch about anything and everything. If he was stranded alone on a desert island he'd complain to himself that he'd not been washed up with any ethnic minorities. Can't see any news about him mentioning Croatia yet.

I've been to the Balkans, they don't like the dark chaps at all. That may explain why all those Africans floating about the Mediterranean try to steer towards Italy instead of further up the Adriatic coast.

The new range of Gibson colours are very pretty but I prefer the older style more appealing. That's the thing about guitars though, one man's pride and joy is another man's firewood.
