Not in the cities.

There is actually a bit of a storm in county Carlos at the moment. Think it's about Syrian asylum seekers getting houses before local families in hostels.

It's been kept out of the news as far as I can see for some reason. Seen a video of a pregnant (I think) woman with kids protesting and getting arrested.

I used to live in Newham where white English people are a minority at 16.7%
People like Mick who lives on an Island with 98% Roman Catholic people think that is a good thing and is all for diversity though.<ok>

Found it on some local radio station page I think.

I understand their problem, genuinely and it should have been handled better but Ireland are scattering them around the country so they don't get ghettoised and they are all families not 27 year old teenagers who Gary Liniker and Lilly Allen want the floodgates opened for.

These families are fleeing an indiscrimite war not of their doing. I think they would have been more than happy to have stayed in a peaceful Syria and not dunted to county ****ing Carlow.

I don't think anyone would begrudge women and children from Syria being housed until their home is safe enough to return .
The blokes should stay and fight in my opinion but if the 2 choices are Isis or Assad ? If they are genuine asylum seekers and come with their wives and kids let the lot in (To Ireland) I say.

Think Ireland are only accepting families although I could be wrong.

As an aside, why should the men stay and fight? It's a proxy war being fought in their country by other nations.

Pretty sure Assad is the good guy in this fighting off Isis and foreign backed mercenaries.
If they are Isis then you don't want them in Ireland if they support Assad then stay and defend your homeland.

Against chemical weapons, air strikes and such? With no military training?

Only utter spastics join the army, and they only still do in the UK because we have a massive advantage over the goat herders they use as target practice.

**** defending your land if you've got 5-6 different groups of ****s bombing **** out of each other.

Assad didn't gas anyone that was propaganda.
OK don't fight just live in an Assad stronghold and let Russia and Iran fight for you .

Id go with assad too but its hardly fair to expect folk to hang around when there's about 10 countries involved trying out their new toys blowing **** out of every ****.

No, Assad is ****ing loopy, he's imprisoned and tortured tens of thousands of his own people. I wouldn't defend him, or join one of the heart-eating crazy muslamic rebel gangs.

They rolled out the chemical attack bullshit a few years ago and UN Inspectors traced it to Israel or Saudi Arabia

Bought White Man in the Hammersmith Palais from a second hand record shop in Crouch End recently. £2.50 with the original pink paper sleeve.

My childhood buddy and I were on holiday in Boston (he was born on a bus in the USA) when we saw an advert for a concert. After finding out we had no meets organised with friends and relations of his family for the eveining of the gig off we popped to the Orpheum Theatre, Boston to see:

Sam & Dave
The Clash

Great evening followed by a seat in a bar/restaurant with steak and Budweiser before returning to our hosts for the night!

Wtf you on about? We were talking about the Clash, debut album of posh boy punk band of the same name not some US hybrid released nearly two years later and some time after their second album Give em enough rope.

The great Joe Strummer, god rest his soul said himself the their debut album was a rushed out hodge podge of terrible production values and inferior musicianship. Whilst admittedly being a seminal Punk rock album there is no doubting it was a disappointment to both him and the genius that is Micheal Henry Jones.
