Happy to get the win. Giroud injury is a big deal imo. He consistently delivers from the bench and leaves us without a plan B to grab a late goal in the league. Let's hope our rested first 11 have enough to get a result on Friday. It's a semi final in a cup that usually means little but has the best teams in the country this season. If we get to Wembley I start to feel confident, ohtherwise we are just the best of the rest in this cup. The fixtures are a pain for the teams going for bigger silverware, but I don't see how we can field anything but a strong first 11 with some youth getting a chance. I get that this cup is very much the lowest priority this season, but being so close and only the best teams being left, I really hope Wenger changes habit and plays a team who have a real chance to progress. You know mourinho will and I can't see conte or pep being willing to get done over by a rival. If we go out I really won't be bothered, but I want to see us take the cup as seriously as our competitors do. It's cup silverware or nothing his season.
It would be a good feather in the cap if we win it with all the best teams in the final this year. But the one cup that i'd love to get is the Europa. We haven't done so well in Europe so it would be a great win.
