I once saw both Chivers and Ossie walking down the High Street, in Ware, in Hertfordshire, about 30 years ago. It was surreal.
At least you can remember the last time Spurs won the league in 1962 unlike most of the other Spurs posters
...and yet we younger fans still supported Spurs! How many Arsenal fans would have chosen AFC, if it hadn't been for the glory?
We won the Cup that year. I've also seen the Arsenal choppers over the years that brought Arsenal a couple of trophies over the years. They seem to hold the blueprint for that sort of thing! Mind you,the Liverpool's Man U's,Leeds and Chelsea's must have a copy too! The "Tottenham Way",not always successful admittedly, but great to watch.......
Whereas there is literally no-one alive who can remember the last time Arsenal were promoted due to results on the field...
We came bottom of the table but didn't get relegated as we played the next season in the first division at the expense of Spurs - oops
You played two seasons in the 2nd tier following that relegation. You finished 3rd and 6th (later corrected to 5th). Then you were promoted at the behest of two clubs that cheated. Oops, indeed.
Strictly speaking "Arsenal" have not ever been relegated from first division (which is what I was saying) as it was "woolwich arsenal" that were relegated so not much of an oops really anyway when was the last time Spurs won the league 1962 or 1961 ?
As an Arsenal fan I always "own" any Spurs fan by the sheet fact that we are the superior club with vastly more trophies. Actually Spurs are just a geographical rival as you really don't rival Arsenal in any way
You specifically stated the conditions that meant that you weren't relegated. That's not what you meant at all, I'm afraid.
It was but I was being too lazy to say it (in keeping with this thread!) so just lighten up and watch the Rugby x
