Except when we're playing one of the top 4 or Liverpool, does the 'Bollock' ever predict anything but 2-0 at home and 0-2 away ?
I'm guessing that the 'Bollock' will predict a 2-0 home win, with the usual banality about our form at the Cottage. The 'Cluckers' however have gone for a Wigan win -
Another week, another post without any reason!!! Amazing. But he found the easy reason:"They are missing Clint Dempsey's goals...". Are you in a bad run? Who was the top scorer last season? Has he gone? That is your problem. Nothing substantial as usual.
Not missing Dempsey's goals at all, Berbatov has ensured that. We are missing a leader at the back since Hangeland's qualities have gone walkabout since last season.
I'd say we're missing Dembele and Murphy more than anyone else. Normally, Wigan at The Cottage would be a cake walk, but I'll be very happy if we squeak out a win.
As Nick Hornby said, the natural state of the football fan is bitter disappointment, regardless of the score. Being a football fan is depressing, but that's part of what makes the highs - when they come - so good.
Mine too. Another thing he said, which might be more appropriate to the other thread about the fan's reaction after the Wigan game - âIt's brilliant, being depressed; you can behave as badly as you like.â
Picked up High Fidelity from the school library in school around aged 14. My English teacher wasn't too impressed with the book report.
Good old Bollock. Nice of him to give us a micro-history lesson on Man City vs Arsenal. EDIT: Just read the West Ham-QPHa prediction; poor old Wet Sham get half a sentence written on them! They're not even mentioned until midway through the last sentence! And not a damn thing covers what might happen in the football match between the two. Bollock, you amaze me.
The chickens predict a draw... that is if the game takes place. It was a close prediction though. Co-hen had to think about it!
With eight out of the last ten predicions correct the Motspur Park Cluckers say we're in with a chance and gone for a DRAW City are not as strong at home this year; conceding nearly 9 shots on goal per game and making 17.8 tackles and 14.1 interceptions per game to stop the opposition getting through. Fairly similar to our own form away from home except we allow teams to get in twice as many shots. Then answer is simple - close them down on the edge of the box. If Jol selects a similar line-to the Chelsea game and sends them out with the same attitude, that's exactly what we will/can do. And the Cluckers could be correct.
