After a poor run of predictions the Cluckers have put forward a new pundit - Kier-Hen Richardson. Said poult has gone for a DRAW.
There you have it! The "problem" is not Berbatov The "problem" is not "Jol". Just watch those biscuits Captain!
Madness, Gera, you can breathe again: biscuits all safely consumed in a non-celebratory manner. Anything that happens from now is in no way related to my consumption of home-baked goodies.
Miracles do exist? For the second time in succession, Lawro predicts a 2-0 win for Fulham! "Fulham are another team on a bad run. They got themselves in front against Southampton and really should have seen it out, which they struggled to do. That is another sign of a lack of confidence and, as is often the way when you badly need a win, someone ends up doing something stupid - in the Cottagers' case it was Chris Baird's handball that allowed the Saints to level from the spot. Swansea might be without Michu after he picked up an injury against Reading and it will be interesting to see how they cope in his absence, because he has been absolutely brilliant." For our new found friend..... C O Y W !!!!!!!!
Hardly. Look at the table according to his predictions and we are a place lower than we currently are in the real table. Also his prediction of where QPR are is HILARIOUS!
If he's correct he can have the shirt off my back. Come to think of it ...... maybe not .... please log in to view this image
Quite, and with another win predicted he will have them on 33 points. Mind you, it is predicted against his beloved Liverpool which raises the question is this the real Lawro or a column by a ghost writer as the real Lawro is sunning himself somewhere warm?
That Clucker Mark Squarkzer is up again and predicts a Swansea win - His run is a bad as ours, so here's to Lawro ..
http://www.fulhamfc.com/news/2012/december/31/chicks-predict-wbaCould it be our first double of the season ? The Chickens think so and have gone for a Fulham win.
Fulham's form has Lawro so flummoxed (having predicted 2 Fulham wins) that he has held his predictions for tomorrow! EDIT: However, he obviously reads the forum, and has just posted a 2-0 defeat for us... "West Brom have generally been really good at home. They reacted to a little bad spell by winning a couple of games before the defeat at Manchester United in their last match. They are challenging for a European place, although I don't think they will ultimately get it. I think they will finish in the top 10, which for West Brom's resources is a real achievement. They have got players who are courted by teams above them in the league and they are an extremely well coached and well run club. Fulham are in a bit of a mess at the moment. They have a goalkeeping problem, with David Stockdale having to play instead of Mark Schwarzer and conceding the two goals in the loss to Swansea. It was not a good performance against Swansea and they are getting sucked into the relegation battle. I do think when everyone is fit, available and playing well - by virtue of their home form - they will be fine." (Steve Wilson's verdict: More travel sickness for the Cottagers, 3-1. ) C O Y W !!!
I presume the 'it' in "it was not a good performance against Swansea" refers to the team as a whole - absolute bollocks.
Yeah... there is plenty to criticise overall, without making up nonsense. We played well against Swansea and deserved a point (probably no more, as a punishment for the woeful second goal we conceded).
And talking of 'nonsense', I thought the MOTD coverage of the game against West Brom was 'bollocks'. An independent blog puts it better than I could - Here is the full article - http://thepremierleagueowl.com/motd-play-familiar-fulham-tune/
Even though I understand your concerns and gripes regarding MoTD, Fulham didn't actually create that many clear cut chances, whereas WBA, especially in the second half, did. We deserved to win however, because we dominated possession and closed down WBA, forcing their players into mistakes. But putting this across in the MoTD highlights is tricky. The only chances we had apart from the goals was Berbatov's shot over the bar, and Kaca's miss when one on one with Foster where he shot straight into his arms. Apart from that, they were efforts not worth noting (Sidwell's rocket into Row Z)
An excellent article. I listened to the game on the radio and they gave a good view of the game - I was worried when they equalised and we were under the cosh for about 10 minutes - but that was the only time when things looked dangerious for us. I was looking forward to seeing the coverage on MOTD but was disappointed as the view was different to the game I heard. The pundits chat was - as the article said - the usual lazy approach of going over old ground. However most media pundits - especially TV and radio - are the same. They talk about the same few clubs and the same old points. There is never anything in depth. How many times do we need to dissect Arsenal's poor season and their selling of their good players or what a good striker RVP is. The only place to get good, across the board analysis is on forums like this or some newspapers. An analysis of our season to date would be interesting. We lost arguebly 3 critical players in Murphy, Dempele and Dempsey while getting a high quality one in with Berbatov. We started the season like gangbusters - freescoring which is something we hadn't done for years, but slowly developing a leaky defence - something we hadn't had since before Roy. We hit a wall in November and have only shown signs of coming out of that in the last 2 games. Hopefully we can make a couple of astute signings in Jan, have a good cup run and second half of the season and end up well satisfied. But the question is - why did we start so well? what went wrong? It is interesting to think that if we had won the Reading and Southampton away games - not a stretch to see that happening and we had won the home game against Sunderland - a definate we was robbed - we would be on 7 more points and everybody would be talking about our good performance this year, how we had tackled our away form and outside bet for Europe etc etc etc. This season is a strange season - not just us, but loads of other sides as well, so why no in depth analysis instead of an obsession to micro discuss the 3 or 4 top teams and a reading of the last rites for the bottom 3 to 5? Why an obsession with Liverpool returning to the top 4 - they finished on a par with us last season, but they have featured far more this than us - and if I was an Everton fan, I would be even more annoyed - a brilliant season so far - consistant and looking good to last the season - but the media's focus still remains on the red side of the city. rant over - off for a lay down now
