That Lawrenson,he's cost the team dozens of points. If his predictions had been more reasonable,The Swans' would be top now,and heading into Europe. Monk could then borrow my map.
We need to finish 7th and have an Arsenal v Liverpool Cup final so that Reading, Blackburn or Aston Villa don't nick a Europa League spot as losing finalists (like Hull did last season). I think.
I was wondering if we might have done better under him than Monk. I'm surprised to have not seen any discussion on this on the forum... Does anyone have an opinion on the matter?
Nah not a chance, we were decaying with him after the cup, seems where ever he's been once he's won a trophy he throws in the towel, he just didn't have it for the Premier league, Monk will finish higher up the table and on more points than his best season with us, good footballer, crap manager................
Lawro has decided we're worth a point against Everton: "It is three league wins on the trot now for Everton, which has ended any talk that they could be dragged into the relegation scrap. Swansea also come into this game off the back of a couple of victories, helped by the fact Bafetimbi Gomis is starting to find some form. please log in to view this image Gomis scored only two goals in his first 26 Premier League appearances for Swansea - but has found the net three times in his last two games He is proving to be an intelligent player who likes to play on his own up front and is benefitting from playing regularly since Wilfried Bony was sold in January. Both teams will be confident of continuing their good runs, but they might have to settle for a point apiece. Lawro's prediction: 1-1 Justin's prediction: 1-0"
Normal service resumed for this Saturday: Lawro's prediction: 2-1 to Leicester Leicester have now won two games in a row and although they are still bottom of the table they will be thinking their fight for survival is very much on. The Foxes rode their luck a bit against West Brom last weekend but they have got a bit of confidence and momentum and I think they can carry that on. Swansea are on a decent run themselves, despite not having much to play for apart from a record points total. They will not make it easy for Leicester but I have the feeling the Foxes will edge another win, especially with Swans striker Bafetimbi Gomis out injured.
I tend to agree with him this week though. I think Leicester will get something, whether it be all 3 points or just the 1.
yeah... This is where we struggle with the quality and depth of our squad. It's difficult for a club of our stature to have a bench of exceptional quality. Players who are PL quality will join us and expect to play most games, whereas if they signed for Chelsea, Man U etc. they would accept being on the bench and rotated. They won't accept that with us, hence our situation at the moment with injuries and suspensions. If you want to play for a top club, it's hard to get noticed sitting on the bench.
