I guess we are on the same page re the Europa Cup , but if we end up in it , it will be a bit rum to say we are too good to be in it. The facts will speak for themselves.
We were too good to be in it this season. If we are in it next season, I would hope to see us play a weakened team and concentrate on getting back into the champions league / winning the premier league / or even the FA cup.
Spuds have got 20 years of catching up to do on Arsenal. One season of them being in the Europey cup and above us before the season has even finished isn't a concern
dont think i said i was concerned did i ? Just that with our crap form , i dont see anything to laugh at spurs good form , maybe you could explain what so funny .
dear me ...... I WILL tell you what i do LIKE about Spurs as a team , not as a club .. Their directness of attack , they get the ball and they are OFF towards the opponents goal , and shoot at the first chance of shooting. They dont piss about passing sideways for for 20 minutes first . THAT is a good trait. When WE were at our very best and most succesfull , in the Henry, Pires , Vierra days , we didnt fanny about with endless passing , the robot passing has got us precisely NO-WHERE . It is fortunate that they dont have any quality players to make each attack count. If they did they would be a formidable opponent. its a good job they are as flaky as us.
Next 4 league fixtures for Spurs: Swansea (a) Everton (h) Chelsea (a) Mancity (h) Oh and they still have to face the rugby team away from home.
But as we saw yesterday, the Swansea players are clearly already thinking about their summer holidays, so that game might not be that difficult. So this Fulham win today is MASSIVE for us.
They might decide to play with some extra pride for that game as they've lost 2 games now, so I'm sure their coach will push them for better, and plus, I think their players will appreciate the 2 weeks they'll have before that game comes. It's never fun playing away from home right after the international break.
If we win our game in hand we're one point behind the spuds With them still to play Chavs, Everton and City
