There is no doubt that if Chelsea did not have their fixture pile up on the way to winning two Cups, they would have finished ahead of Spurs... and probably Arsenal too (eg Didier Frank etc would have tried v Spurs, played at Emirates, and versus newcastle and Liverpool).
I've said it once and I'll say it again, the only difference between us and Arsenal was that they had a 30 goal a season striker and we had a strikers that couldn't hit a barn door up until about April. As for Spurs, maybe if City had leant us when of their strikers and subsidised him we just might have done better.

As I've said, there are no medals or trophies handed out for finishing above Chelsea. With our worst squad in about 15-16 years we've won more trophies than any other English side this season Nobody will remember the team that came 3rd in the 2011/12 season in 5/6 years time
