No seriously, Piskie knows what this thread is about. You guys have been talking about this stuff on the Spurs board and those threads are far more appropriate for such serious discussions. Talking about it on this thread, takes that away, I feel.

The relative anonymity of the internet coupled with the faux bravado that seems to inherit football forums has thrown up some pretty funny wild claims from some members in the past.
I remember a poster on old BBC6O6 claiming that he drove a Bugatti Veyron, was well endowed, had handsome chiseled good looks, many one night stands and was a medical student at Oxford. Shame for him that one of my best friends is a research fellow at Oriel and tutors the medical students there, he didn't post much after I asked him if he'd met her
I also remember a spud fan - I think he was called Sir Alan Shergar, who claimed he owned a swanky restaurant which catered for high profile celebrities. I remember him posting all sorts of crap, then when people called him out, he would claim that he 'had to go' because Joan Collins and Bruce Forsyth had just come into his restaurantHe would then come back an hour or so later and make up some BS about being in the kitchen serving up Lobster thermidor and that's why he didn't answer the question.
And then just the other day in a debate about the Spuds 'Yid' chanting, HIAG claimed that he was confident that Spurs fans were in the right because he is a Lawyer
Anyway, this is not meant as a Tory ****phile witch hunt
but have you come across any more bizarre claims?

the funniest ones are the ones who say they are gonna come and get you, coz they have you IP address now and know exactly where you live.

I always thought it was the sign that somebody had lost the argument / plot when they offer you out for a fight .
In fairness I think there are some like the Chelsea guy ... London's only ... and HAIG who deliberately do it and are funny (if you like that kind of thing ... which I am childish enough to)
There used to be a gooner on the BBC 606 site who used to have more than 1 user name and when ever he was losing an argument he'd call in an alter ego to make him look like he weren't a lone nutter. He was so stupid that it never occurred to him that anyone would know cos he had the same us id!
When I called him out on it he denied it until his who thread turned into a laugh at him thread.
There were also some who regularly mention being "Company Directors" "successful Businessmen" and "Chief Executives"
There is something cool about these loons...when ever my teen and preteen girls reckon I am sooooooo old and sad I show these lot to them and suddenly I don't look quite so bad
