    Talk about touchy.

Some of those spurs fans are of their rocker, one claimed they had the second best squad in the league behind city and way ahead of us, manU, and the chavs, how deluded can you get, there backup centre back was ryan nelson for **** sake haha. They also could not replace lennon when he was injured, thats some squad they have haha, deluded or what.

    I guess I had a quiet morning....

Each club has it's own merits and ambitions Ammaaar - Not everyone chooses to support a fancy dan team that is expected to win every game and as such our ambitions are reduced - I guess you are trying to ridicule me and my club because I chose to support the nearest team to where I was born as most true football fans do - It is irrelevant their ambitions or style of play for supporters like myself, we are given a football team rather than choose whoever we like and support them through thick and thin.

What's wrong with playing to our strengths and hoping for mid table obscurity - the alternative is much worse.

You are NOT playing to your strengths - you are taking the easy way out with a footballing style that went out in the 90s !! Its only dinosaur talentless managers that stick to this philosophy, Mark Hughes, Sam Allardyce and Tony Pulis.

Strange how the new breed of managers DO NOT opt for the easy option. Ian Holloway, Brendan Rodgers, Paul Lambert and Roberto Martinez, all of whom have been praised for their approach.

Tony Pulis is a Philistine and his brand of football is a blight on the beautiful game.

But we are succesful HH - to our own standards at least and the ends most certainly justify the means.

Football is a game of rules rather than pure entertainment and as such each style is just as applicable as any other as long as they stay within the rules.

Might I add that if you are looking only for the beautiful game and discard all else you would be better served by a sport that includes artistic impression like ice skating.

I am sorry I am not going to say that Spurs squad was better than Uniteds but i do like factual accuracy Ryan Nelson was Tottenhams 5th choice centre half just unfortunate that Both Kaboul and Dawson were injured leaving them with King, Gallas and Nelson at the end of last season, as for Lennon they did have Krancjar and Dos Santos, but for some reason the manager preferred to chose to change formation instead, I will say this if United and Spurs had swapped managers they would have finished in the top 2 with that squad. And Ammaar as a Gills fan I wont here a word against Pulis, so Stoke aren't everyone cup of tea but they keep staying up, lets see if Norwich and Swansea can stay in the premiership as long as Stoke have shall we, now an established premier league team with and cup finalists, I dont think he's doing too bad personally

The balance does not equate to 10% artistic talent & 90% thuggery. This is the point you fail to grasp.

That you support a team that would make the worst rugby team seem graceful is bad enough, but that you came on here and attached yourself to the spuds cause in order to wum us, puts you in a league of your own.

I know I'm on your board but do I really have to answer to you one by one?

I feel like I'm at a fair ground shooting ducks off the conveyer belt.

COYG this is your supposition not mine - If it was 90% thuggery we'd have had more players sent off last season than yourself though to my knowledge without googling it this is not the case - Which brings the question who are the real thugs :emoticon-0133-wait:

If what you say is true why do we almost always leave the field with 11 players?

Also I did not and never will attach myself with the spuds - I started on here merely laughing at the irony of a gooner saying spurs had no bottle.

I've had bigger and better arguments with them this year than your own good selves to be honest...... very deluded as you all point out.

So you initially state that you like factual accuracy then claim that spurs WOULD have finished second if SAF was in charge? Bit of a strange comment, you can't prove that this would have happened just the same as I can't prove that it wouldn't have happened.

Gills dude - in a league where the gap between the worst teams and best is closing, I will bring your attention to the following points - both Swansea and Norwich finished ABOVE Stoke playing much much more attractive football, and Wigan only finished 2 points behind. Add to this the fact that Swansea, Norwich and Wigan went toe to toe with the big boys and won lots of games, they did not play a defensive game or pack midfield, this should be admired.

Its a dead argument, that the only way teams can compete against better teams is to pack midfield or be negative or rough them up. Pulis is a shocking manager who's teams play shocking football. Is it any wonder why English football is so far behind the rest of the world when mangers like Pulis are around !!

Stoke city dude - You talk about red cards and so on, why is it that Stoke were BOTTOM of the Barclays Fair Play League last season ?
    http://www.premierleague.com/en-gb/matchday/fair-play.html

It is a kop out to say you have to play overly physical football to be competitive !

yeah we sure are bottlers aint we.

When we listen to words of footballing wisdom from a stoke fan , then we will be in the sh!t.

    Stoke dont even play football.

Hoofball and they are even sh1t at that.

You must be a right dufus to PAY to watch that dross , week in week out.

    Hilarious.

"Wow, could some of those posters on there overrate their team any further? "

you gotta be joking right. ?
It is the true mark of a spud to think , nay INSIST beyond all reasonable doubt, that Spurs are THE best team in the world.

Remember when they FINALLY got into the CL ?

The day they qualified they were convinced they were going to win it.

    HIAG is just priceless.

Comedy gold just keeps on coming.
