Over on the Spurs board they are claiming he is good enough to play for Barca and would be a natural replacement for Puyol...
Because the media let them. Just as they did with the PornoKings at West Ham who are tearing the soul of the club apart.
Levy is adored like some kind of Demi-God by the spuds, when he is actually very adept at dismantling any kind of decent squad they have and derailing any assemblance of progress or consistency. Not that I'm complaining and to be fair there are one or two who have seen through him, but the majority of the spuds have put him on a pedestal and can't or won't admit that.
The disintegration of the Spuds continues with Lamela, Chadli, Holtby and now Capoue wanting out. If ever there was proof of them spunking the Bale money then along with massive expensive flop Soldildo, this is it. What a ****ing shambles the spuds are. This is like the return of the Tottanic when Bale, VDV, Modric all wanted to jump ship too please log in to view this image
Interesting that Tim ****wood has completely shunned Capoue. I thought he was decent enough, but Timmy seems to think he is dog ****. I think Capoue can easily do a decent enough job for a lot of clubs in our league.
Arsenal fan Tim Sherwood is obviously trying to dismantle spurs from within. I'd expect a cut price move back to Spain for Soldildo in the summer too.
I swear Levy is a closet Gooner too. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/arsenal-fans-must-wishing-tottenham-2242845
That article reads like a ****ing piss take in hindsight, but the dumb spud meant every word of it. Do they never learn ? Always opening their gobs and giving it the big 'un before it comes back squarely to slap them in the faces. It's almost like they do it on purpose for our entertainment these days.
That twat Darren Lewis has form on this. http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/opi...an-Arsenal-by-Darren-Lewis-article868566.html
Interestingly enough I was chatting with my mate (a Spud) who plays football with some chap who is on the board at a league 1 side (can't remember which I wasn't paying attention!). Either way because of his football connections he was at a party and cornered young Timothy who, much like on telebox, was very frank in his evaluation of the team. The break down of some of the players was as follows: Lamela - talented lad but doesn't have the "heart" to succeed in England (surely heart is desire, confidence and belief which should be instilled by your manager...). Capoue - Decent but far too slow with a poor attitude in training. Chadli - Not good enough (I could have told you that!). Holtby - Loves his attitude and passion but not good enough (ha!). Rose - Probably not good enough but mind not made up so willing to give him time (I'll save you there Tim, he's sh*te, let him go...). Chiriches (spl?) - Doesn't rate (I thought he looked alright!). Soldado - Doesn't rate (the fact he's cut it at every level throughout his career suggests he does have it but it's clear his confidence is at an all time low). Paulinho - Likes (yay!). Eriksen - Creams himself over him. Now, obviously this is a my mate said his mate said article so could be 100% bullcr*p but I was told this a fortnight or so ago, just was too lazy to post it before. Either way if half of it's true you can see why there is discontent. Sherwood doesn't strike me as the sort of person to massage egos or try and nurture players. With him I can envision tough love and 90s tactics. 4-4-2 with balls of steel attitudes! Either way, glad it's not us.
Spurs went into the market and bought in the price range and talent range that we and many other clubs have had the least success in. Wenger could have told them that even if you have the best eye for talent in the world, you only get about 1 in 3 players working out.
Wenger has clearly said that buying too many players at one time is a bad idea, and he's been proven completely right. Most of their players aren't bad, but lumping them all together from the cold and expecting them to gel in one of the toughest league in the world straight away, was a bit of a stretch.
I think a number of these players can easily be good enough if given enough time to settle but as you say it's a huge ask to throw 8-9 new players in together and expect results. Well, good results.
The only one that looks decent is Erikson, by the time he gets real good, we will be there waiting on the wings, to sign him up if we want.
The problem for the spuds is that they've created a disparate environment with some talented individuals, some not so much, all lumped together and called it a squad. The time it will take to create cohesion and unity will mean that the best of the bunch will have lost patience and be wanting to play for a better team.
See their thread response on the Sp*rs board. Obviously hit a gigantic nerve. please log in to view this image
