Seems a loyal guy . Quit over his assistant getting fired & then brings the fired assistant with him to us when he gets the job . I like Laudrup already ! Can't see Emnes coming our way , left over Buck interest, in a player , finally reaching media somewhere . I doubt Laudrup knows anything about Emnes or even if he wants to .
Listened to Radio Wales<Cardiff Branch> earlier and sports reporter interviewing a Swans lady fan" are you a bit concerned that Michael has no experience of managing in the Premiership?" She replied -Brendan had no ex perience either. He responded saying he had been assistant at Chelsea and Roberto had played in the Premiership. To which she relplied 'Roberto never played in the Premiership"!!!!!!!!. Typical Cardiff bias.DOH.
Breezy: "Seems a loyal guy". I know what you mean Breezy in the context of Erik whatsisname, but Rodgers seemed a loyal guy too. Like most managers or players he'll be off when the right offer comes along. As someone else said recently Swansea City will forever be a stepping stone club. No shame in that provided it brings us success too.
On the same note: Swansea City chairman Huw Jenkins hopes new boss Michael Laudrup will hang around at the Liberty Stadium http://www.thisissouthwales.co.uk/S...pes-new-boss/story-16432564-detail/story.html
No Blarney Zone. Straight talk express has pulled into the station. Post match interviews are going to be worth listening too
Here is the last interview of the day on the field. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18542307 He makes some poignant and pragmatic comments regarding our possession game and going forward. If he can instill some of his vision and guile into the likes of Joe and others we're in for a very interesting and entertaining season.
I like him, down to earth guy who doesn't take spin lessons from Tony Blair, he will do well for the club, new season and we will finish top 10
I think his first press conference oozed class. Humble, making jokes about past roles... and he seems to know he's onto a good thing with us. Is Laudrup the famous King Sweyne reincarnate?
I'd so love us to finish above Liverpool next season, Sig and all. Nothing against a great club or its supporters but just to see what blarney Rodgers would come up with. I'd just have to p**s myself laughing watching him try.
