Incidently, Villareal gained promotion yesterday to LaLiga...JDG will be a harder signing now.

The Star have an article today linking us with Zola and Poyet as Laudrup replacement candidates. Feels horrible that these rumours of Laudrup leaving have developed so far that the journos are lining up replacements.

Thing is, Zola and Poyet were all in the mix before Laudrup. So no real surprise that their names are mentioned again.

Havent both of these guys guys flipped us the finger in the past ? poyet, wasn't intrested in us and zola wanted too much money if I remember correctly .

In that case **** em both, especially Poyet, who has a great club in Brighton, in fact just as much if not more potential than the Swans down there. He is sulking over playing budgets as well so he it would really love it here like...<laugh>

In addition to those two, The Sun also say that Morton Weighorst, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, and Jose Ramon Sandoval are also in the frame.

I wonder about Weighorst. I could be entirely wrong but I get the sense that our bad run (even though we were playing reasonably well without a lot of luck) coincided with his involvement. Not sure of the time frame but no doubt some of you posters will know.

South of France is agreeing with me very well, just making a call from my Tab in a beach bar in Agay!............ <cheers>

I'll be very happy with Zola, always wanted him at the Liberty, humble man, who will do well for us!.............. <ok>

Agreed, Vetch, but do you know how many points we had accumulated when Weighorst became "operational"? I have this feeling about it but I don't want to be unfair to the guy.

No doubt one of our statisticians will provide the answer to your question,Ivor. It all seems such a long time ago.
