Our football in the first half an hour was excellent - the best so far this season. Kashi & Holmes have been outstanding so far.
I think Ahearne-Grant would make a decent winger, he's bulked up a bit this season and looks better on the ball. Like everyone has said we're lucky it's not 2-2
Anyone get on btts in both halves? My old man just picked up £100 from it. I opted for 1-1 correct score
Oldham 3-4 Charlton now... How have Oldham breached our defences three times - the last with 10 men? Freak circumstances? Or do serious questions need to be asked...
We might have been a shambles defensively but to score four and win the game is all that counts. I was worried about today's game without Da Silva and Magennis but we managed a win against a side desperate for a result. Last Season we would have lost this game.
Another good result - happy with that! Sometimes you have games like today where the defence will be "lax" - it thankfully hasn't been a pattern of our season so far and hope it isn't something that will be repeated consistently. The club may have stumbled across a promotion capable team here. I still think the lack of depth will come back to haunt us at some point, but here's hoping we can continue until January and then see where we are at
Fantastic entertainment in a game that could have finished about 10-8. Fair play to Oldham for putting us under the cosh with ten men. Kashi, Holmes & Billy Clarke were outstanding today, with Fosu not far behind. We are going to create loads of chances in this league, but need to be far more clinical when we are on top of sides. Our defence creaked badly all afternoon, susceptible to high diagonal balls and with Solly having an absolute Meire at full back. Jacko was actually our better full back today. Dodoo looked very good when he came on - KAG was subbed after 50 ineffective minutes for him. Below are the players at full time, Robinson gathered them in the middle for a huddle.
