Surprised that City are such strong favourites when six points behind Arsenal. Why is that?

Those odds seem quite reasonable to me! I think the fact that Man City have a problem on the road casts a doubt over them, but with us and the Gooners its got to be a 3 horse race, and the results between our fixtures together will probably determine the outcome!

The bookies must be looking at Arsenal chokey rep or they would be faves surely

City look rampant at the moment, especially at home. If they can string a few big away wins together they'll be laughing. Arsenal also tend to have a dip in form, but if they make it to Jan and sign a few players then you never know.

If anything, this run of form will stop them signing players. Bendtner banged one in last night so Wenger will probably think he wont need a striker now. City look by far the best side when on form, the rest of us can only hope the indifferent away form continues as they'll probably win almost all of their home games. .

Yes, hopefully they don't sign anybody. I really can't see them sticking with just Bendtner as back up though. I hope we also sign one or two in the window, desperately need a change in defence and centre of the park.

got to agree with you
we need to sort our defence out and as mentioned elsewhere o for a yaya toure

3/1 doesn't look too bad to me, you're playing badly, leaking goals, your forwards are struggling, you've been beaten twice in 5 games in CL yet you're still winning the games, and have Q'd for CL, that's the type of lucky form that ends up winning leagues.

Yeah City still favourites for me.
Arsenal have a reputation for fading away after good runs and especially over Christmas/New year when the fixtures come thick and fast and they start getting injuries. Their squad is paper thin, only their midfield has decent squad cover, up front and in defence they are woefully lacking in quality when you look past their starting XI. Plus, as stated, they have had a pretty easy run in compared to everyone else.
If Giroud is out for more than 2 weeks at any point this season then they are screwed.

City have the best squad all over. Their away performances have been a little suspect and their defence needs work, but they could easily go on a 10-15 game unbeaten streak and pull it back.

Chelsea, well our squad is pretty decent for the most part but by no means perfect, and we have been a little inconsistent and keep going behind in games and having to pull it back. making it hard for ourselves really. Still think they we are best placed to challenge City though, and if City do not win it, I cannot see any other team than us winning it.

Put your money in the bank, don't give it to the bookies, they already have enough.

can never make accurate statement than this <ok>.
Their position in Jan will adversely impact their position in May.

Arsenal are due to get lucky with injuries. Maybe this year will be their year

thought they got way lucky when Pursie scored 40 odd goals in his first injury free season ever!

ladbrokes are offering 3/1 on chavski doing a part exchange deal of 32m + Fernando Torres for Nelson Mandela's corpse

:D

It certainly seems that we have come to the critical period right now.
I think those odds will change after the next few games ,

One team will rise from the pack , but which one . ?

An interesting time to be a football fan .
