This IMHO, to come away with a point from this game was massive. As for the late goals we'll not stop conceding them until we have the confidence to play the full 90 minutes with at least some attacking intention. As soon as we nick a goal or even while it's nil-nil we are hanging for grime death. If we get a little run and the team get some confidence then I believe we'd stop conceding late on. If this game had been the other way around and they'd scored on the half hour and we'd hung on and scored a late goal to steal point we'd be delighted......
the late goals this season have been gutting but its not really a statistical anomaly - it should work out to be the expected norm if u can put the facts into a mathmatic equation . better squad go a goal (or two :? ) behind - the team ahead defend deeper and deeper as time ticks on allowing the "better" team more time and space on the ball . The more challenges and tackles needed the more desperate the appear and more desperate the need to be the consequence is more likely than not . . . a goal we need to be able to play counter attacking football in the last ten mins waaay much more effectively
