Banter is fine. In fact its wanted but for too long, there are 4 or 5 mags who come on here daily, or hourly and starts with a very mild intro, only to reveal a snide comment or ulterior motive very quickly. One of them is the bloke posting here ChappedArse, although he is by no means alone. He often starts with some innocuous general chat but very soon it becomes apparent that the whole point of the thread is just to poke fun or ridicule my club. If I were standing next to him and he made those same comments, believe me he would get exactly the same ****e as he gets from me on this message board, so I guess the answer is simple. Cocky, arrogant dickhead mags should not be tolerated at all. Decent ones should be fully engaged. I have no problem with that at all. I can live with banter and lively debate but if I just as much sniff a piss take, or wind up I am going to revert immediately to the use of extremely guttural language to dismiss that individual or individuals. I'm not simply going to ignore an anti Sunderland post on a Sunderland forum, whether that is an open one or not. Neither should any red & white blooded SAFC fan imo. Tolerance is fine but appeasement in the face of ridicule or total capitulation isn't. Well not in my book anyway. If that upsets fellow Sunderland fans on here then you'll simply have to ban me and in doing so, you will immediately make this whole 'SAFC' forum pointless, as you may as well just call this a 'general open football forum' and just skip the SAFC logos and links altogether. Banter? Yes. Heated debate? Totally fine. Disagreements? Of course. But piss take and fire will be met with fire? Period. I wont compromise on that point of principal to defend my football club against mag piss takers.

Mate, not when you're being provoked it isn't. If someone went on in the pub to you like some of them do they would get twatted.
Its every single thread, post made by a mag though, i could live with 1 or 2, but its every single bleeding time. and yes, I have had heated arguments with mags in pubs, its never ended in a fight, usually a handshake and pints bought all around.
You're not in a pub though, this is a forum on the net. Some people take this far too seriously and as for Cest's comments, that is exactly the reason this board is going downhill. Grow up Cest.
We deal with issues in life in different ways. I have always fought fire with with fire and I ain't changing that on an Internet forum at 46 years old. If you prefer to ignore then ignore my posts to them. If they want to rip the piss I am not standing by and simply allowing it. You can if you choose to do so Steve. Remember, their provocation warrants the responses they receive. If it s a good debate fine. If its piss take and ridicule I ain't having it.
Mate, most are ok. The odd one however deserves a slotting. Tied to put one on my ignore list today but cant as it comes up "username not recognised, please check member list". So aye, I check & yes, there the bastard is. Still can't block the twat though.

I could say the very same to you and why I feel this forum is going down hill is the tolerance by some SAFC fans of mags coming on here and simply ripping the piss out of our club. This is a Sunderland forum and the last thing I want is to see hordes of craas just ****ing about on here and reducing the debate amongst fellow fans to that of tit for tat squabbles. However, they are the ones your wrath should be aimed at not me. Its their attacks on my club I wont tolerate. However, the easiest thing to do is ban me as I wont be changing and when a Sunderland fan is banned by a fellow sunderland fan for defending his club from mag attacks, then that is the time this forum will be truly finished.
