Great Film you have a funny idea of Great Shiny, Great films are classics which that one will never be. Godfather series yes Great Rocky Horror Show Great Cult film Star Wars, Star Trek, Lord of the Rings/Hobbit Great Franchises will make loads of money but that about all. Avatar will probably become a classic in the future like 2001 a Space Odessy did.
That's just your opinion Hawk. It won loads of Oscars and in total 17 awards. So it must of done something right.
True it spent countless millions but it did have one big advantage it was the best film in a very poor year.
Tiger if I said black you would say white. If a film wins Oscars its because its a good film. Now whether you like it or not is down to you and your taste in films.
Hang on Shiny some absolute turkeys have won oscars some because it was buggins turn to win something, some becuse although the film was dire someone's performance stood out Just because a film wins an oscar means nothing. In that context the only oscar that means anything is best film oscar and that just means best film this year.
Yeah I've seen it, the boxing film and yes Shiny I agree it's a good film. And Hawk how can you say that about Star Wars it changed the way cinema was.
It was a great franchise but it got worse towards the end. Which was the halfway point of the series very confusing. Made a great deal more sense when watched later in the correct order.
