Gone all quiet on the transfer front. I hope we're not putting all our efforts into Matthews and Baker. They won't happen, Matthews might when Sunderland sign another RB but let's not ****ing wait, plenty of other options out there. Baker is a pointless one, made it pretty clear he didn't want to comeback here in his end of season interview. Would rather we go back in for Maguire.
Mathews is a toughie considering another club has to buy for us to move forward. Bit annoying Santon deal fell away yesterday but I think he can be done soon. Someone on twitter said a few days ago that a friend saw Baker in Bristol, whether true or not I think we'll be interested but wages will be a problem. To be honest now we got Tomlin I'm less worried about transfers but we desperately need a CB, winger and a striker.
I think we might still get Mathews but like Lannybellend says waiting on Sunderland to buy first. Baker I doubt it, but to be honest there are good CB out there like Maguire etc

That baker sighting proved to be bullshit. I know what you're on about and at the time it was tweeted, Baker was on a plane to Austria for Villa's preseason.
