If Moyes carries on seamlessly where Saffa left off then maybe Saffa wasn't the greatest motivator ever, as the synthetic suggest.

Moyes will succeed as Saffa has bequeathed him the setup to do so, but United's fans are deluded if they think he has Saffa's drive to deliver 13 titles in two decades.

    Exactly my point.
Anyone can spend 100m and win a title, its retaining that title and continuously building new title winning teams that set SAF apart from everyone else.
I can see Moyes winning a title in the next 2-3 years, but its when SAF's squad dissolves that the real test starts.

Rotating during CL will be a challenge too. Saffa was good at that.

Also, day's army of rio, Vdic, rapist Rvp and incestuous Giggs are on their way out. With their winning DNA.

If Moyes fails to transmit that winning mentally to fellaini barnes etc, they could struggle

Come on, I know he's one of your three prize pets but the condescending pat on the head is a bit unnecessary. He'd struggle to own a goldfish. His opinion I offer nothing is one he's entitled to, silly as it may be. My opinion is that he has offered nothing more from what I've seen than some childish abuse, xenophobia and a mouth to hold your penis occasionally. But that's what the forum is about, opinions.

Thought we were talking about Moyes, not Jose or Mancini!

Where has this come from? is it fear of the future? I doubt very much if we will see a manager last two decades at any club in our life time or even if it will happen ever again. I do think Moyes has drive though, ability? time will tell.

Agree. Watford brings nothing but bitterness, snide and sanctimonious comments to our board.

He must be a very sad man to want to spend his life on a forum of the club he hates the most.

Can we stop with this 3rd choice, 5th choice 8th choice crap.

    This is football.
Clubs often have to look at other targets if their preferred choice becomes unavailable. You are all acting like this is a new thing.
For all the Chelsea fans going on about it....in 2004 Mourinho wanted to sign Samuel Eto'o from Mallorca. But Barca beat us to it, so Mourinho had to go with his second choice, a striker from Marseille, you may have heard of him......DIDIER DROGBA!!!

EDIT Looks like United got fifth choice Fellaini after their bid for Khedira fell through.

Well done agent Woodward, their business in the transfer window is as chaotic as ours and Arsenal now Gill has gone!

Moyes has failed to start rebuilding an ageing side. Saffa would have started by now.

The levelling of the playing field has started: refs next please
