I was in New York just before Christmas and the only PL match I caught whilst there was the 2nd half of the Wolves - Norwich match. Norwich were by far the better team although it finished 2-2, and I can't see Wolves improving enough from their recent performances to get anything today...
Today has the potential of being a really good day. Logic would suggest that Norwich will beat Wolves and that Liverpool will beat Wigan, but surely that same logic would also suggest that Sunderland will see us off comfortably? I’m hopeful that it does not, and, at least until 3 o’clock this afternoon, I am surfing on the wave of euphoria created by 15 minutes of mayhem on Wednesday night. We finally showed some character, back bone and desire. Surely that won’t be wasted? Sunderland 1 – 2 QPR (Hope is independent of the apparatus of logic) Bolton 0 – 1 Blackburn (really too hard to call) Norwich 3- 1 Wolves (they won’t let us down Col) Liverpool 2 – 0 Wigan (Liverpool won’t slip up again) So another afternoon starting with hope, will it ultimately be followed by elation or anguish?
Half Times Sunderland 1 QPR 0 Bolton 2 Blackburn 0 Norwich 2 Wolves 1 Liverpool 0 Wigan 1 Blackburn 28 Bolton 26 -------------------- QPR 25 Wigan 25 Wolves 22 Slow start again but don't think we're looking too bad atm. Bit tame and short of ideas in the final third... Taiwo looking better - apart for his failure to get up with Bendtner to prevent the goal. And what about Taarabt's defensive contributions? Impressive! But if we're gonna stick Bolton back where they belong, we must score goals today...
