And a Hull band called Underpants Explode. I don't whether it was them who I saw supporting another band at Hornsea Floral Hall and saw the singer embellishing their song 'Arthur Askey's Legs', by swirling around on a low riding bogie on his knees. Different times!

No don't stop, those are brilliant. There was a band called 'Warm snorkel'. This should be an alternative music thread.

Most of the mad names are from either the late 1960s when the drugs led to names like, Strawberry Alarm Clock, Crocheted Donut Ring or Electric Prunes and in the punk to post punk period from 1977-1986, when some bands recorded under the names: Radiators From Space, Cleaners From Venus, Marshmallow Overcoat & the rather too famous, Teardrop Explodes.
But some recent-ish bands are sort of carrying on the tradition:-
Alligator Crystal Moth, Neutral Milk Hotel, Senile Crocodile.
Another band gigging at the same time as the admittedly well named Dead Kennedys were the Butthole Surfers who recorded the album 'Locust Abortion Technique'
Quiet night on the transfer front leads to this!
