Oh my word I have been in a drunken horrible mess since Friday evening I managed to sober up for the match but straight after it was back on the Lager!

It finished with passing out around 11pm last night after a litre of whisky with my mate and a few more Stella!

I feel a right awful mess at work this morning but I wanted to post a thread just to thank the players, staff, management, director and owners and finally to all you guys and girls who post on here and have made the season superb and generally a good laugh.

Long may this continue next year and beyond my wildest dreams are now realised and were back in the bigtime.

My song of the weekend "The only way is up" by "jazz" I think? It was played around 40 times on the jukebox in the pub Saturday afternoon/evening.

Cheers fellow Saints <ok>

Tut tut...all that drinking, shocking..ruin your liver etc etc. That's my motherly side out of the way! If I could manage more than one drink I would have joined you. Great weekend for everyone...still on cloud nine myself...especially since Nigel has settled my paranoia by confirming he's staying. Now off to work to drag my cloak in front of the Pompey fans and the ManU fan who kept reminding me that his 'team' (he's from London!!) got us relegated. This is a gift that just goes on giving. <party>

I must admit its today more than any other time its really hit me that were a Premier League side no more worrying glances at the table no more worrying about tactics and tv curses <laugh>.

I wish I could of had the week off but currently my stomach and liver want nothing to do with my brain! :D

Real nice feeling today, more relaxed than in a long while. Glancing over footy related stories, looking forward to watching the no pressure play offs. What a good year to be great! (I posted the same thing one year ago!)

Alex, have the Reading fans been congratulatory towards you? Or are they still going on about their plastic bus parade? <laugh>

To be fair to a few of them they did post on my Facebook offering congratulations in COMING 2ND etc but that does not phase me <laugh>

I just had to avoid the town centre yesterday as they were doing there open top bus parade 12,000 die hard fans and 25,000 plastics

Speaking of the playoffs in the Sun today it states that Cardiff v West Ham is Thursday at 7.45 and Blackpool v Birmingham game is Friday.

I thought there was normally around 2 weeks break before the first leg?

Hull City Fan in peace. Well done Saints and enjoy next season. Thankfully you scored early and we had great fun with the Hammers fans. Good luck next season and hopefully this time next year Hull City will join you in the PL.

Whilst i expect all 3 who go up to be in the bottom 8 next season you should survive especially if Adkins brings in players like Danns from Blackburn and Zat Knight from Bolton as has been remoured. Your defence needs improving as the upgrade in PL striker quality goes up many notches.

Swindon fan here - Congratulations on your promotion to the Premier League you have deserved your promotion after being in the Top 2 all season and Good Luck for next season.

Thanks to both the above posters.

I think if Hull add a striker who will get 20+ goals you'll be right up there you have a good side.

Must be an exciting time to be a Swindon fan also, Sometimes you have to take a step back to go forward and could easily see you doing back to back promotions if you keep your manager and players.

Best of luck to both of you <ok>
