Not sure they'd let Prem players play in long-studded boots nowadays - from memory, isn't that how Lawro ended his career?

Endo was abysmal, okay. And Badger at right-back is an experiment I don't want to see again - he's slower on the turn than even Trent and has absolutely no 5-yard acceleration, a drawback that is quite fatal at fullback level. I do think he'd make a better sort of no 6 than Endo though, though neither of them look like the DM we were supposedly looking for. Perhaps, with Szobo, Macca, and Gravy in a midfield 3, we won't need a no 6 - or maybe put Badger in with them in a 4-4-2? We don't always have to play 4-3-3, do we?

Well it seems to me that we've gone 442 a couple times.now and sides can't get to grips with it.

Not sure. I wasn't advocating for it btw. Luckily we won't be playing on any more farmer's fields for the foreseeable. Back to CL next season :emoticon-0165-muscl

I meant on one of the fields rather than an actual pitch.:)
I don't think I ever played in Stanley Park, tbh - as kids we used to go to Wally Hall Park when we wanted the grass experience. Otherwise it was climb over into Arnot St. school until the caretaker turfed us out.

The alternative is no studs at all. Sure, it will lessen grip, but it will be equal for all teams.
