If they, or any well placed team signed him and then went on to succeed in the play offs the fall out would be immense. The Rams might take a punt on him.
Well PM, you're playoff chances may be out the window next season http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000436046/article/is-playoff-reseeding-a-possibility-for-nfl-in-future
Well I think the NFC South has been poor this year, but it's still a close one as to who could win it. I don't think they will change the format though. Why would the have divisions at all if winning one doesn't get you into the play-offs?
Well back to Ray Rice then, I think there are a lot of teams that could be looking into signing him. Chargers, Titans, Browns heck even the Texans with Arian Foster being injured all the time. Anyone team with a RB below 4 yards average per carry could be in for him. Which would explain why Rapaport is saying a handful of teams has already shows interest. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000436055/article/ray-rice-drawing-interest-not-likely-to-play-until-2015
It's a quandary for sure. It makes sense that he shouldn't play this season, but who's going to crack first and sign him now ready for next year.
It's a bit hypocritical to not sign him now because it's fresh, then wait till everyone focuses on something else, then sneakily sign him because everybody will have forgotten about it. I can think of at least half a dozen teams that could benefit massively by signing Rice right now.
Oh noes, Dalton is having one of those games again, this may be one of those days the Bucs can get a win PM.
That's the tricky part, do you wait and sneak in but risk someone getting him first, or just front it out and be remembered forever for it. Of course some deals might be worked out between teams that are interested to make the deal at a later date.
Dalton with a stupid throw to the redzone to be intercepted, Roethlisberger also threw an easy pick to the saints please log in to view this image
Rams have 35 points now in 22 minutes. Mind-blowing. At this rate they could be at 84 points in the 4th quarter... They wont get there but just to emphasize how mad it really is.
Someone tell Andy Dalton that it's not January yet, three INT's in the first half, and two of em just cynical throws. Someone should slap him silly.
I hate the Steelers, one week they're awesome, the next week Roethlisberger is crap. Same thing goes Dalton and the Bengals.
