Lamela

Anybody know if Erik Lamela has woken up from his winter hibernation yet? It would be nice to see him on the pitch again before the end of the season.

We signed the wrong player from Roma. Ask Roma to swap for Miralem Pjanić which I expect will be met with laughter and '' you English are funny! ''

Is Lamela injured or has be been sent to a fast track English speaking camp so he can return next year focused and join in the banter!

He gets on well with LOLdado.

 

He will still be here next Season, according to his brother.I'm looking forward to see him fit,and playing for us,just hope he will be given a run of games to see what he can do

 

What injury is he carrying?

I can't believe how little we've seen from this guy since he's come to England, especially for the price tag.

I'm not sure if it's a different injury now but I think he had a recurring thigh strain around Christmas time. It might not sound like much we've had problems with these niggly injuries before and if the doctors aren't given the time to properly sort it out then it will keep cropping up. We had pretty much the samething with Lennon a season or two a go where we kept playing him through injury and it affected his performances and put him out for even longer when we finally decided he was too injured. Dembele and Rose had long term problems with minor sounding recurring injuries too, Rose being out for about 3 months with a sore toe!

That was on March 18th and he's still not returned to full training, for some reason.
They're positive about him going to the World Cup, though.

He's been carrying the weight of the papers wrongly referring to him as a £30m signing all season.

 

He's shown glimpses of what he can do, and for me he's just needed a bit of time to settle in (the injury hasn't helped). But I honestly believe both Lamela and Soldado will come good for us in the future.

 

Another reason to sack Sherwood - he believes that, Eriksen aside, every single player we've signed in the last 18 months should be sold this summer.

Timmy is alleged to have said only 3-4 players (Eriksen included) in the current squad he
would definitely want to retain.

 

We can be like Roo and treat Twitter as gospel or look at this fairly and Sherwood has offered praise to Eriksen, Paulinho, Soldado, Lamela and Chadli.

But I get the impression he thinks Paulinho is a bit of a wimp.

That leaves Capoue, Chiriches so on the face of it if he rated Eriksen, Lamela, Chadli and Soldado but wasn't keen on the other three that isn't anything to attack him for as managers need players they Trust and often managers move on players they never signed

Anyhow it's unlikely he will be here so all irrelevant anyway!
