Mentioned this in a few threads but thought I'd start a new one. It seems everyone is talking about everyone else bar Lambert this morning. Yes the defence and the midfield was amazing but every attack and out ball was Lambert. He dominated the two centre backs and due to this made space for everyone. He also provided an excellent out ball for the defence, winning balls in the air and holding the ball up for support from others.

It was a totally selfless performance and I think he deserved a goal yesterday. I hated the back end of last year when people started having a bit of a pop just because his goals dried up a bit. He has turned into such a team player.

He looks fit and hopefully injury free as it was not a great start last year when he had that injury and missed the plymouth game and poss a lot of preseason.

Just check out the gallery on the OS: sheer delight on Lambert's face at all the goals, and not a trace of frustration at not scoring himself. Even if he doesn't score a single goal all season (which of course he will) his contribution to the team is matchless.

This is what Adkins wants..team spirit. Several players have said it's fantastic at the club. Nigel cited the case once when he made a substitution and the player coming off ran to the by-line to get his team mate on quickly.
