Southampton are expected to complete the signature of Lukas Jutkiewicz in the next 48 hours after having an offer provisionally accepted. Its thought the fee is in the region of £1.5 million. Also got some news on Pilkington and Peltier. Southampton do not want to spend in excess of £4 million on Pilkington as he is still not fit from his injury last season and it seems Peltier now prefers a move to Leicester rather than the coast. One last thing I heard yesterday was Saints are considering a bid on Leeds for Kasper Schmeichel and this seems like a good move as hes an ideal successor for Davis and Ken Bates has this morning told Schmeichel he is surplus to requirements at Elland Road. My Sources? I have several within the club working close to the board and scouting staff. Watch this space!

If I had a job at Saints and wanted to keep it, I would keep quiet. However, doesn't mean I don't like hearing rumours. I just want one of our targets to want to come here!
Also, no way Lambert would be sold to Pompey. Selling your top goalscorer to a Championship rival when you don't need the money makes no sense on any level. Even Nicola would need a bulletproof vest if he did that!
