He has only just recently marginally improved the squad. I also don't see anybody here who has said that the results are better. There are plenty who see the off field effects since he arrived though. As you've said yourself, twtd and Twitter are unofficial Lambert supporters clubs right now. This club needs something more than just hunting results.
He has marginally improved the squad in two positions but also added four poor players the effect of which will be to take up more wages and have six more players who are twiddling their thumbs and getting frustrated. He’s not done enough in the window to make a blind bit of difference to our chances of staying up and with the exception of taking a punt on Judge, nothing at all for the long term. Sure the excuses about finances are valid but excuses don’t help our situation and under the circumstances it’s really hard to see how he could be doing any worse. I’m really not interested if half of Suffolk has deluded itself, I don’t see that as a positive.
How much do you think working conditions are going to be improved when half the club staff are laid off? I agree that this season is done and dusted in terms of staying up but we have continued to make short term, wasteful signings in this window. Getting the past greats along for a photo op was all very nice. Come on, seriously?
Bit like your posts on here, yawn, argue, yawn. I don't recall saying it's ALL Paul Hurst's fault, though he deserves a good %%% of the blame for this shambolic season. However, of course you enjoy spinning whatever I say in whatever direction you wish so C'est La Vie. It's happened before and it will happen again.
What’s going on at Monaco is absolutely bizarre. Why’s Henry even gone in there to take the job in the first place?
Reassuring at least tonight to read that Lambert doesn’t have any more confidence in his new signings than I do: “It’s an impossibility [for them to be at their best]. These lads haven’t played. Collin Quaner’s not played many games, Will Keane’s not played many games. I think the one that’s played the most games is Alan Judge, I think he’s the only one. James Collins, Callum Elder, Simon Dawkins, they’ve hardly played many games.” The good news is these players are going to hit peak form in March and then we’ll smash everyone off the park.
I would try and answer this question but if I did it would be the wrong answer. It’s probably better you reveal to us all the reason, saves another argument.
No not at all - there's not a lot of point in debating anything with yourself. It'll be the wrong answer. So instead of rinsing recycling the usual rigmarole with dealing with yourself, I've opted for a change in tactic. You have asked a question, however answering it I would say is a trap, so throwing it back to you. Seriously, it's a lot less time / effort as opposed to an actual debate. Over to you with Henry - and fear not - I won't argue with whatever you put.
An ex-champions league winner has taken over a once great club which is now in decline and looking to be relegated, and who's owners are very wealthy, but dodgy.....sounds familiar?
All very true and sad, Nuggets. Ever the optimist, I will still look forward to a revival and change in our fortunes. But I won't hold my breath! Quietly resigned to a season or two of ignomony. And importantly, shoots of a new Club, new structures in place, our own Youth nurtured, 2-3 expereinced old campaigners, a better spirit about the place, commitment from everyone, a massive dose of realism, and we might just begin to crawl back up......and a new Owner in 2 seasons time!
