If it's ginger minge a Brazilian is rather fetching, looks like a fish finger. Personally, I'm old school and prefer something you'd need an agricultural strimmer to keep in shape.
My Mrs always gives it the full shave whenever I come back to the UK. I think she is worried there might be something left from the others that have been there while I have been away.
Totally shaved for me but i'd be happy enough to see a landing strip or something elegant. In my younger days I might have got past a big bush, but now I'd tell them to go in the bathroom and sort it out or I'm not playing.
