Wenger's name holds a lot of respect, especially in France. Most of these youngsters have grown up seeing and looking up to Arsenal teams managed by Wenger. They've seen him produce some great football and made young French players superstars. Lacazette is probably thinking about all those magical nights that Henry produced for us and wants to do the same. Let's all hope he does the same.

Lacazette is probably thinking about all those magical nights that Henry produced for us and wants to do the same. Let's all hope he does the same.
If we get Mbappe (and it's a big if) and then we get Lemar would we then accept selling Sanchez - or do we get him to stay one more year knowing he will walk for free if he wants to
I think it would be overkill to have Sanchez as well. If anything, it would make sense to sell him and recoup some of the money. But getting Mbappe is unlikely, his fee is astronomical and he has eyes for Real, who really want him (Zidane). Lemar is more gettable but i feel that Mahrez is more probable. I think Leicester would be more willing to play ball, rather than Monaco, who are quoting huge sums for Lemar and don't need to sell. Either way, Mahrez will be a great addition to our first 11 if we get him.
That will change once we concede a goal in pre season
Bloody hope not. That's the front line of a 4-2-3-1 formation which was cack for us last season because our zero-trained defence can't cope with only two centre halves and no defensive tactics.
With Wenger at the helm mismanaging the team we've got to stick to 3-4-3 which means 3 forward positions for the four (possible) players of Ozil, Lacazette, Sanchez and Lemar
Well, I actually think a lack of a quality DM was the real issue with the 4231 last Season. The back four were constantly exposed.
The extra man in defence fixed that problem. (but probably reduced our attacking threat also)
But you are right without a TOP defensive midfielder we are probably better off sticking to three at the back.

I know Wenger has his flaws, but give the man some credit when he actually changes something for the better. God knows we've been slating him for being too stubborn, then when he does change and makes an improvement, some people (Yes you Cini) are still slating him.
That said, I still reckon we should try and get somebody like Carvalho. Although we'll need to offload a couple to sign anybody else.

He can do whatever he wants, he's not a good manager anymore. He can't motivate teams. It doesn't matter which players he buys or what formation he uses. They're superficial changes when the man can't motivate his team for a season anymore. Sanchez... One of the best players in the world... Before he arrived we were finishing 3rd or 4th...after he arrived we still were finishing 3rd or 4th. And that's because we go through appalling mental lapses when Wenger has no clue what to do. And that won't be fixed by signing £50m players or switching to a new formation. Those things will just make us even better on our good patches.3-4-3 isn't 'mismanagement' ffs

Personnel has very rarely been our problem. These big signings give us hope but ultimately if you've already forgotten how poor Wenger is at motivating his team then more fool you.
