Naughton has changed his twitter pic back to wearing a Tottenham shirt now. @knaughts88 Read into that what you will.

As for defence, it is the same as it was in League 1. We shipped loads of goals until the midfield got to grips with the idea of getting back to cover whenever a defender made an error. I think that's how Chelsea beat Barca. Not that they have a better defence but they are good at covering each others backs.

shame about naughton. martin has done ok at full back but naughton is much the better player. i still maintain that the main reason for our lack of clean sheets is less to do with our defensive personnel and more to do with the lack of defensive cover in midfield. we need a midfield maestro badly who can compliment fox, sit in front of the defence and cover them <ok>

I think its both, lack of support and the actual back four, notwithstanding the amount of injuries and lack of a consitent back four playing together, of course the whole team is involved in the defence and the full backs have not always had the best support from the wider midfielders.

Although I'm a fan of Fox, I am beginning to wonder whether he will be as regularly in the team next season. Of course it will depend on the formation, but assuming a 4-4-2, it will be Howson and the new player, Yaya Toure, or someone similar????

i thought Bradley might be that (defensive mid) player, and he has had some good performances. I think we might get someone like this in the summer - we have plenty of midfield flair but we need some steel in there

He has done well but he has fallen short of my admittedly high hopes for him. I thought he could be at the heart of the team, but it hasn't quite worked out that way, still time though.
