If Arsene Wenger gave Kyle a new contract then he obviously has some talent. Arsenal are able to fish in a bigger pond than we can, so it might be that they had no need to wait for the player to develop and decided to let him go.

Football is littered with players who have been released by the bigger clubs and then gone on to achieve success nevertheless. Years ago I believe that Peter Beardsley was dumped by Liverpool as a young player then they spent millions buying him back when he made the grade elsewhere.

Give Kyle a chance. He might come good for us and, at a million quid, is well worth the gamble.

I agree Ivor - didn't we get rid of Dean Saunders early on as well ?

"Didn't we get rid of Dean Saunders early as well".

Not to mention the great Giorgio Chinaglia.

Yeah, Guys. I remember speaking to Benny about it (Roy, Dean's dad) and he reckons John Bond - I think it was him - didn't like Dean's flippant attitude. Mind you, Dean was a bit of a handful when he was younger. I remember giving him a clip across the ear when he was a kid. A grinning Benny thoroughly approved.

As for the stud, I mean Giorgio, we all have our stories to tell about why he left; most of them entirely unrelated to football!!
