Seems like a good honest lad in the video, hopefully will gel well with the squad.

He will need a few games to get use to his team mates and the way we play so we need to not judge him too soon, I think he will be an asset for us...

I'm quite confident that this guy is going to be a great signing for us! the fact he hasn't cut it at Tottenham is no indirection for me.

Does this mean bye-bye Rangel. Didn't see this coming to be honest. I thought we would have gone for left sided full back first, especially since Taylor is always hovering near the exit.

Disappointed by this one but I'll give him a fair crack just like I give everyone a fair crack. Good luck to him.

    NAUGHTON LEFT TO PLAY GAMES

Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettinoconfirms Kyle Naughton left the club to pursue more playing time.

Despite moving to Swansea, Pochettino couldn't fault the full-back's attitude while at the club. Naughton moved to Sout Wales on Wednesday in a £5million three-and-a-half year deal.

“He always tried to play more than he did and his decision was to find a club to have more opportunity to play,” Pochettino toldSky Sports.

“I agreed with his decision and, after the club reached a deal with Swansea, he left. I was happy with Kyle’s performance but he wanted another situation to play more than he did and his decision was to find a solution and Swansea gave him the opportunity to play more regularly than he would have at Spurs.”

In his interview he said he was 'definitely right back' and said he had played a few games at left back 'but it wasn't for me'.
So we really do still need a left back.

Why? We have Neil at LB and now have Jazz, Naughton and Tiendalli who can cover thst position not to mention the young lad from Scotland. Plenty of options at LB just like RB now.

Because we need better than Taylor and Monk doesn't rate Jazz and Tiendalli is a bit of a nightmare even worse than Taylor in the 'how am I going to get booked this week' stakes.

Bob Taylor has improved as the season has gone on. Where I do agree with you is that I am always terrified he is going to do something rash and get booked. I would like another LB but the person we are linked to Olsson is no better IMO than Taylor. Just dont want us to waste 5m on a LB who cant defend.

Taylor is doing ok and one of the better LB's in the premiership but his problem is he dont want any serious competition for his place and that is wrong. He would rather leave if we buy another quality LB and with that sort of attitude then reluctantly i would sell him ....We need another LB as the cover for him are below standard and not good enough. If he thinks that by joining palace he is not going to have any competition there then he is in for a shock...he needs to grow a pair and accept that competition is good and nothing to be afraid of if you have confidence in your ability.

If we can bring in Olsen I believe we will then have suffient strength in depth to carry us forward defensively. We will also need to bring in a back up for Tremmel in the summer. If as expected we make Tom Carroll's loan permanent in the summer then that will allow HJ and GM more time to strengthen in other areas particularly up front. Feeling quietly confident about the second half of this season. GM seems to be well on the way to smoothing things over with Gomis so hopefully he'll be firing on all cylinders for the remainder of this season. A win at St Mary's next weekend. I think so, quietly confident on that one.

Well we've given Taylor 40+ plus games so he should be up to speed by season 2016
