I haven't heard any negativity about the owners at all, they have been great so far and even if they did want an older player to move on and to trim the wage bill, I would say it is so that they can bring in other younger players. Kuyt has been great for us but I wouldn't be bothered if he left in the Summer. When Bellamy is fit he still has the legs, Kuyt doesn't and we are seeing his famed tireless running less and less. There needs to be a balance between old and young Kuyt is one of the older players that needs to move on as is Carragher (coach).
Also don't forget, Bellamy knew his role before coming and he halved his wages too. Which makes his value to age more acceptable.
This is why it is important to take things one step at a time. We can't just throw money at it because of the FFP rules. Firstly, we need to build a side capable of getting into the top four. Once their, we need to established ourselves as regular qualifiers again. Only once this is achieved can we start build for a title challenge because that is when we will have the income to compete. Of course, stadium and youth development would help too PS - Cole has not left yet, he is out on loan. Expect a few more 'dead woods' to leave this summer - Cole, Aquilani, Aurelio, Maxi, etc
Yep, definitely the first three and I begrudgingly agree with Pacheco too. They won't be a massive wages though.
Make no mistake, your new owners have bought the club with the long term intention of making a profit on their investment and not because they `love the club and want to win trophies` . They are not a Mansour or Abramovich that treat their club as a hobby, they are business people in it for a profit.
