Against Fulham he was caught in a daft position but he'd made 2 or 3 really brilliant reflex saves earlier in the same half and had generally had a great match so he's let off for that. Other than that I can't think of another mistake he's made that has mattered at all; maybe the odd crap kick or something. Krul seems to be seriously improving and our box feels very reliable and safe knowing he's in it, and at such a young age it makes him an exciting prospect. Hoping we hold on to him.

How's De Gea ahead of Krul has he made more saves or something? If so it speaks volumes how good our defence has been that a Man United goalkeeper's had to make more saves than our own.

I think that stats aren't enough if you want to rate a keeper especially on the number of saves or number of goals conceded. For e.g if De Gea made 4 easy saves and lets in a howler, whereas another keeper makes 3 "world-class saves" but concedes 2 goals, can we say that De Gea is the better keeper? Also there are other things such as commanding the area during set pieces and ball distribution which are also very important but hard to calculate.

De Gea's only made so many saves because players think they can score from miles out against him and try ridiculous shots. A lot of his saves are very easy ones.
