I know some hate the guy but I am starting to quite like Krueger. Maybe the fact that they are doing just what they said they would do is something to do with it but I still quite like him. Pity the BBC article is so short. Would have liked to have heard loads of buzzwords and motivational slogans :) and he could have ended with ...as you will see on Saturday when we whoop Newcastle 5-0.

I don't think anybody 'hates' Krueger, we've just doing him difficult to trust and have questioned his capability. He seems to be doing better now.
 
He's definitely going up in my estimations. I found him hard to trust in the beginning, I'm warming to him slowly, and we've come out of this summer in a decent position so it's hard to criticise him at this moment. He also kept his word about Jay and Morgan, so I'm pleased about that too.
 
I`m ambivalent towards him, and the `firesale`wasn`t his fault. Fact is that the money brought in from sales has been largely reinvested in players, and I agree that we are a bit stronger than last season (I think!)
 
I think we misunderstood his mission when he first turned up at St Marys. We had been used to a hands-on, dictator style chairman, who used to give very few interviews, and in each one of those he would re-state that world domination was the aim. :)

Then along came Krueger. A former ace ice hockey player, and now legendary coach, motivator and public speaker. Unsurprisingly, there was a taint in the air of a certain highly successful rugby union coach [Clive Woodward] and how his time with Saints was received. Consequently, Ralph has been an uneasy fit into his role as both he, and we, adjusted. Descriptions like Southampton Saints didn't go down well, even if the first Saints team off your lips might be New Orleans. But he's getting better. We know he's a believer, and he puts his words into deeds - get any othe current PL chairman to do a charity bike run or chase Franny down the road for 30+ miles. And perhaps most importantly of all, he's beginning to say less and mean more. We can only hope that his legendary powers of motivation carries through to the role that he was employed for. To get the name of Southampton FC well known throughout the sporting world.

Spot on TSS, that's exactly what a Chairman should do !!
 
Bottom line is people are holding him responsible for their own stupidity. He ended up delivering the product.

If you didn't believe what he said because he didn't say it the way you wanted, or because you had a preconceived notion of him, THAT IS YOUR FAULT. Think about that, before demanding that Kruger double-down on idiocy by accomodating the stupid things you want when you were wrong the entire time.
