Awesome performance - he is a class player for sure. He really made us tick, and as that shows he can pass the ball very very well indeed.
OMG is that QPR playing! Not just Nico, all of them: 1 or 2 touches max and move! Now I am feeling confident we can be promoted. We have the attacking creativity and the bedrock defence. Oh happy days brothers!
I know it's only his first full start, but his distribution was astonishing at times. When fully fit, he's arguably the best player in the league. I'm glad he's in our team
I'll say it was a combination of that first touch at 1:12 and then the sweeping pass straight after it that made it really special. As much as I loved Adel when he was here, I think 8/10 times after he had made a similar touch, Adele would have headed off towards the nearest defenders he could find and tried to do 40 step overs and tricks and end up losing the ball or ending up on his arse, banging his gloved hands on the floor whilst Derry and Smith would have been giving him daggers.
It was right in front of me in the Ellerslie. I was just commenting to those around me that it was the best first touch I'd seen in years when he swept the ball across the field with the best pass I've seen in years. It can be no coincidence that his first full outing went hand in hand with QPR turning from being solid but uninspiring to the best passing team in the Championship.
Harry did good business here. It's early days, but once Nico is fully match fit and has shed a few pounds, I see no reason why he cannot be the top player in the Championship if he stays injury free. The difference between now and the Adel-Championship winning season, is that we will have a talented, well balanced squad to play around our talisman.
I like !! But would add the word experienced, which Adel wasn't - big difference !! Plus Niko looks to find other players in space. More of team player (imho)
Exactly. Kranjcar is absolutely class but it is highly unlikely that he gets anywhere close to Adel’s contribution for goals and assists during that season. Being a world cup year I think will give him the extra motivation to really perform even though he could play at about 50% and still be far better than most other players in this league.
