    Of course we could. We just chose not too. We pay players based on their abilities and importance, and if Larrson isn't worth what he's demanding, then he ain't gonna get it. It's the non-stupid way to do things.

    Kranjcar's a little out of our league at the moment but I've wanted him since he was in his mother's womb, Larsson too!

    Ireland as people are pointing out COULD be brilliant but it'd be a gamble, especially since he'd want to be among our top earners. A loan til the end of the season assuming we don't get anyone else. He can play behind a striker like Nolan does, can't he?

    I'll love Kranjcar! and at the reported 2m, it's a absolute bargain for such a versatile & quality EPL-class player.

    Wouldn't MIND Ireland, only if he takes a pay-cut and wouldn't be too fussy about being on the bench regularly(not better than our current midfield but gives us that ''different'' quality in our midfield but we have Barton in there.. so unfortunately no better than what we really have).... when on FORM, he's a very gifted individual in terms of technical abilities and creativity, but it's not a position we need to look at, prefer someone like Barnetta who is more versatile and consistent.

    Ireland is a prick, I'll never forget his arguement with his international side.
    I would rather have him than nothing, I can remember his amazing form at City, I don't understand how he got so rubbish though moving to Villa, it's not like he's past his peak or anything...
