Korey will always be a legend. Very sad day for me as my favourite player departs All the best Korey!! Thank you for your service - the club has lost a role model for sure
On the rare occasions that I saw City play Korey was usually a standout and if we had 10 more players with his effort we may have got somewhere. You were a credit to Bristol City and even more so to yourself and I want to thank you for you commitment to my team, and I know all of us wish you and your family nothing but the finest for the future. A star in my books.
This was probably the best moment of LJs tenure for me - a wonderful wonderful night. Some say the promotion season under Cotts was good - this night was that whole season rolled into one. Every man did their job and we looked every inch a Premiership side - they all did their bit, but thanks to Korey in particular:
was a stalwart in the community has made his home here and that is the saddest thing … but hey free transfer …. simples sign on for the gas!
Another great servant to the club, who will always be remembered fondly by everyone I would imagine. However, it is time to move him on, I fully expect a top L1 side, looking for a promotion push would be in for him, maybe Pompey, Posh or Sunderland, maybe even Wigan?
I thought Korey was our best in midfield. He's only 29 and possibly his best in the next 2 years. Letting him go at this time seems strange to say the least. Another decision that asks more questions about the BCFC hierarchy.
What a guy, his work rate was incredible for us, but it's a shame that he's not quite the player he once was. Probably the right decision, although a tough one.
It grieves me to say that Korey was the last of Cotts’s signings to depart Ashton Gate. LJ didn’t sign him, Cotts did.
I’d have kept him for another year, he was our best midfielder towards the end of the season, I thought he came back very well after his long injury. We seem to be lacking leaders too and with Morrell and Walsh hopefully coming back into contention his experience would be invaluable
Oops - misread. So, LJ, who was at another club at the time, recommended us (Cotts) to sign Smith? Interesting if true. Wasn’t Smith signed when we were in L1? So LJ must have had an inkling way back then that he’d be next in line if Cotts messed up!!!!
